For many years, the Finish Line section of Sailing World magazine (and its predecessors, One-Design Yachtsman, One-Design and Offshore Yachtsman, Yacht Racing & Cruising, etc.) was THE place to turn for the latest results from around the sport of sailing. We prided ourselves in keeping people up to date on the latest results, and in giving recognition where and when it was due. We’re sailors too. We know how nice the occasional “Attaboy” can be after a hard-fought win at a big event.

The Internet has risen to fill this role now, giving nearly instantaneous access to results from around the world. As much as people enjoyed seeing their name and/or photo in the back of the magazine, we decided it was time for a change. So we’re going to put those pages to better use—our new “Now on SailingWorld.com” page is an example.

Rather than forsake the Finish Line, we’ve moved it to the web. This section of the forums is dedicated to event results and reports. All you need is an account with SW.com and you can post results, reports, or photos from your class’s regional, national, or world championship, or even the weekly beer can series. Please try to limit it to one thread per event or series. The most recently updated posts will be featured on our homepage for the world to see. Just like old times, only different.
